Celebrate the 4th of July With These AMAZING Recipes!

Obviously, the 4th of July is America’s favorite holiday. Celebrating in style with family, friends, and food.

Frankly, I LOVE having guests, but HATE to create the menu. Typically, I just do a potluck and have everyone bring a dish to pass.

This year, I really wanted my guests to just be able to enjoy the time together, and not have the menu. So, I put together my menu, and want to share some awesome new (at least new to me) recipes that I’ll be serving this year!

First things first, though. I wanted to let you all in on a lil secret that we have going on over here. After a few years of perfecting these, our family has stumbled upon the BEST recipe for BBQ Ribs sure to set your 4th of July spirit aflame. Here we go!


BBQ Ribs - From Us to YOU!

What You're Gonna Need...

  • 1 Rack of Pork Short Ribs
  • ½ c. Brown Sugar
  • ¼ c. Paprika
  • 1 tbsp. Salt, Black Pepper, Onion Powder, Chili Powder
  • 1 c. Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce 

How you’re gonna do it…

  1. Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees F.
  2. Combine sugar and spices into bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Cover baking pan with foil, place Rack of Ribs directly in center of sheet.
  4. Spread dry mix evenly over Ribs.
  5. Evenly distribute BBQ sauce over Ribs.
  6. Bake in the oven for 3 hours. At 1 ½ hours, cover with foil so they are super tender.


While That’s Cooking….

Smelling the sweet savory ribs can make the time go by super slow. I’ve found that if I’m busy doing other things, that time goes by a lot faster. So, here you have it…. Everything else that you will need to make while those lil guys are baking!

Red, white, and blue! Stay true to the classics! Yeah, you’re gonna have to wait for the ribs to finish, but getting the batter ready to go and prepping the baking sheets is a priceless time saver!

Slow cooked, sweet and absolutely perfect with these Ribs!





Potato Salad

The fresh dill and dijon mustard in this recipe makes it the perfect cold companion to light up our plates!


 




There ya have it!...
